Pixel & Hank Spring 2014

Things have been quiet around the blog. To be honest, it never ranks very high on my to-do list. The scoop is, we have been diligently working on a fun spring line, set to debut March 2014. I will have a few fun things to share on the blog then too. In Action: Trouvaille Workshop Blooms

Rhi from Hey Gorgeous Events contacted us a few months ago about creating custom blooms for her Trouvaille Workshop participates. I created these blooms in pairs, so every bloom has a match. All workshop attendees received an invitation package that included a stunning invitation and a p+h bloom.  I'm not much for words, so I will let the pictures speak!

In Action : Wizard of Oz

We had the pleasure of creating a few little pieces for a perfectly inspired Wizard of Oz shoot. The vision was by Red Heels Events and captured by Summer Jean Photography. My little peaks do not do this shoot justice be sure to see all the details on Red Heels Events blog.

How to: Tie a Turban Headband 2.0

Last year we wrote a post about how to tie a turban headband. As great as that post was, we though it could use a few additional shots. Its simple and super cute! Enjoy!

In Action : P&H Spring 2013 - Everyday Accessories

Once or twice a year we team up with the super talented Amy Carroll Photography. As you all know, Amy is my go-to girl for p&h photography. This year I wanted to focus more on everyday wear. To be honest... until recently, I did not wear my accessories often enough. I'm a pretty causal person who has perfected the art of the pony tail. So... I wanted to created something that I would wear. A no fuss hair accessory that can be worn over unwashed bed head. In addition to that, I've been dying to create a floral crown. On the the shoot...

We worked with a extremely talented team... The lovely models were - Blair, Ashley and Lexie from Mathew Agency . KL from Cheeky Strutt rocked out the hair and makeup.

The icing on the cake?!? Michelle Tippmann from Proper Makes was there to capture an AMAZING behinds the scenes video!

IN ACTION: A Charming boutonnière

We created this ultra custom bout for Carrie & Ben's NOLA wedding!
 

We use hand painted vintage love themed sheet music to create leaves and combined them with cotton, lace, tallow berries, twigs and a few feathers. The stem was wrapped in a coordinating gray yarn, We are quite please with the results!

I hard to know where to begin... Carrie and I have been friends for ALONG time 17+ years! When she asked us to help her with he wedding accessories we were super excited. In Action : The Stinson's

Bree and her family are no stranger to P&H. Bree has modeled for us and been one of our top supports from day one!

We were SUPER excited when Bree contacted us about creating two custom headbands for her daughter. The best part?!? She wanted to use pieces of lace from her wedding dress.

Little Black Dress Bridal Shower

 
Back when I had dinner and drinks with Amy (from Amy Carroll Photography) and Rhi (Hey Gorgeous Events) I would have never imagined that a little girls night fun chat would result in this spectacular shoot! 

Rhi did a mega amount of work on this shoot - from concept - execution - amazing DIY's and all the flowers. Yes, Rhi is a superstar genius.

Amy captured everything perfectly. Every detail, every moment.

In Action: Snow White

A Snow White inspired wedding?!?! Be still my heart.

We had the opportunity to create a hair piece inspired by Snow White. We chose to create a huge red silk bow to play off Snow Whites traditional small red hair bow. The center was encrusted with many vintage sparkly buttons. Thrilled to see this come together!

We were thrilled when Quinn contacted us about custom pieces for her peanut Hailey. We created two custom pieces to coordinate with her adorable outfits!! Aren't these family photos so sweet? Check out the entire session with one of our fav photographers Amy Carroll!
